MOLARITY CALCULATOR
This application is intended to be a help with common calculations in the field of chemistry. There are the following features:
- pKa-equation for weak acids/ pKb-equation for weak bases
- Equation to calculate dilutions
- Tools for preparing solutions
- Tool to calculate solubility of a compound
- Tool to calculate amount of substance from mass percent
chemCalLite only works in Molar, litres and grams, it cannot convert to different units. If you need to work in concentrations of milli-Molar (mM), micro-Molar (µM) etc., or volumes in milliliters (ml), micro-liters (µl) then you need to buy chemCal (also available on the App Store). chemCal can easily and quickly convert between different unit values such as milli (m), micro (µ), nano (n), pico (p) and femto (f).
The Promega App provides reference information and tools for life scientists. It combines tools for use at the bench, such as calculators and annotatable protocols, with in-depth reference materials covering key topics in molecular and cell biology.
Chemistry By Design is an interactive virtual flashcard that allows students to test their skills using known synthetic sequences. The goal is to display the reagents, starting materials and products for every single step used in constructing a natural product or pharmaceutical. Students are provided with different browsing options to test themselves.
The Molarity App from Sigma-Aldrich is a chemistry calculator tool that generates lab-ready directions describing how to prepare an acid or base solution of a specified molarity or normality from a concentrated acid or base solution.
Chemical/biochemical pocket companion designed by the editors of Current Protocols. Choose from a list of all of the commonly used biological buffer systems, enter your desired volume, pH, and buffer concentration, as well as the concentrations of your stock solutions of the conjugate acid and base, and the calculator will inform you of the exact volumes of these stock solutions to mix in order to obtain the buffer needed.
Easy access to info about chemicals and fundamental constants, as well as calculations for preparing solutions. The app uses an online search engine, so make sure you are not charged for the data transfer. This handbook allows you to look up info without having to type, and without storing large databases on your phone. It uses the Wolfram Alpha computational search engine to look up and calculate the information you are looking for.
“Solution Calculator” is a convenient calculator for making chemical solutions and for diluting solutions using a stock solution. It helps you to quickly determine how much chemical/stock solution you need. Solution Calculator also contains a handy tool to calculate molecular weight (M.W.) of commonly used chemicals in the lab.
Fast and easy GC pressure and flow calculations at your fingertips. This portable version of the GC pressure/flow calculator can be used to instantly and accurately determine pressures and flows through open tubular capillary columns.
The LC Calculator quickly calculates flow rate and back pressure under a variety of conditions and column dimensions. The Back Pressure Calculator helps to determine what column configurations will work within your system's pressure range. Whereas the Flow Rate Calculator helps to find the column flow rate generated at your desired system back pressure.
The HPLC Method Transfer Calculator is able to calculate conditions for transfer of an isocratic or gradient method from one HPLC column to another.
Chemistry Toolbox is an app that provides quick access to the main data in chemistry within easy reach. The functionalities that are present are: periodic table, a few calculation tools for solution preparation, physical and chemical constants, pH indicators, NMR related information, data for common solvents, pKa information, amino acids, standard reduction potentials and organic functional groups.
